The Club enjoys a very active participation with the Town of Southbury :

A yearly Garden
Therapy workshop is held to decorate and fill
|
baskets for the clients of the Visiting Nurse Services.
|
Certificates of
appreciation are awarded to businesses for
|
landscaping efforts.
|
Spring and summer annuals are planted
in large wooden containers in front of
the Probate Court Building.
|
|
Decorated
Christmas wreaths are made for all Town buildings.
|
|
The Herb Garden at
the Bent of the River Audubon Center is
|
planted and maintained by The Garden Club.
|
Community Gardens The Club
maintains five gardens at four Southbury locations: one garden at the entrance
and one at the exit of Ballantine Park, one at Ewald Park, one at Seman Park,
and the garden at Bullet Hill School
